The "SUPERnatural" Blooms into Atlanta Botanical Garden

The Atlanta Botanical Garden has been home to Atlanta since its inception in 1976. The garden features 30 acres and is located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The garden’s mission is to “develop and maintain plant collections for the purposes of display, education, conservation, research and enjoyment.”

With rotating exhibitions and an annual Garden Lights, Holiday Nights set up, the latest exhibit to usher itself on display at Atlanta Botanical Garden is a duo SUPERnatural: Aerial Art in Motion, Glass Art in Bloom. Premiering just in time for the spring and summer months, SUPERnatural opens May 15 and will see its Aerial Art in Motion portion on display until September 19 and conclude with its Glass Art in Bloom on display until October 31.

The aerial art in motion: Dream Flora is constructed by artist Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics and marks the international artist’s first exhibition in a woodland environment. Past installations from Shearn have been seen at Burning Man, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and more.

The Glass Art in Bloom is an exhibition presented by artist Jason Gamrath and is displayed in the botanical garden as dozens of large-scale contemporary glass sculptures reflecting the beauty of nature.

Admission for the Atlanta Garden starts at $22.95 for adults and $19.95 for children (ages 3-12) for Tuesday-Friday weekday entry and goes up to $24.95 for adults and $21.95 for children during the weekend Saturday-Sunday entry.
