HEAR IT FROM ME

I am Wil Rivers, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia and one of my biggest inspirations in creating this blog is my enthusiasm for music. Having minored in Music Management at Georgia State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism this is when I knew I wanted to pursue my interests in entertainment.

My earliest memory with music is connecting with the music my mother played around the house. She played a lot of “90s R&B," and another early memory of music was being gifted a CD player for my ninth birthday (Yes, how ancient in time now is this right?!) That very exact CD player would quickly create my personal obsession with “90s R&B”. From the slow to fast melodies, uniquely crafted songwriting, and soulful voices, R&B music would go on to inspire my liking in writing songs through poetry.

Currently, I am a Master of Arts student at Full Sail University where I am studying New Media Journalism. From my graduate coursework this website came to fruition. Having a passion and seven year background in Creative Writing I grew to want to tell pop culture news, and be hip to the latest happenings with my favorite artists.

Once I decided to create this blog I made a point to avoid reporting on entertainment gossip, but to create a unique experience that shines light on various parts of the entertainment business.
